OSHA Expands List of Severe Work-Related Injuries that Covered Employers Have to Report

OSHA has implemented two key changes to its recordkeeping rule. The first change updates a list of industries that are exempt from routinely keeping OSHA injury and illness records because of low occupational injury and illness rates. The second change expands the list of severe work-related injuries that employers must report.

School Creates “Wellness Corner” for Janitorial Staff

One Rochester school is offering its janitors and other faculty a place to relax in its new “wellness corner.” The school hopes that this move toward putting the health and wellness of the facilities staff at the forefront of its goals will create a positive impact on the school. The space is equipped with yoga blocks, exercise balls and weekly affirmations. The wellness corner serves as a space for staff to “decompress and rejuvenate.”
